Raw Almond Nog

Updated: Nov 7, 2019

Well, Rosie and Ryan have done it again! These guys have been eating lots of RAW foods for years and are always coming up with new ‘clean’ recipes. They now own and run Franklinjuice.com , a cold pressed juice company based in Franklin, Tennessee. You can purchase their glorious juices in Franklin, have them delivered to your door or even shipped overnight if you live further abroad! Franklin Juice has VERY GENEROUSLY slipped us a recipe or two to share with you. I can’t believe it!!

And now from Rosie…

‘This Raw Almond Nog is filled with electrolytes from the coconut water it is made with, and packed with protein and calcium from the almonds. Not to mention the benifits your digestive system will get from all that cinnamon! Enjoy this clean version of the traditional Holiday Egg Nog.

I like adding this to chai tea with a few teaspoons of honey and a little coconut oil. ‘

( after a bit the Nog will separate as you see in the photo above. Just give it a little swirl! )

Ingredients

1 cup raw almonds ( soaked overnight in filtered water)

2 cups coconut water ( NOT MILK)

2 cups filtered water

3 mejool dates, deseeded.

1 Tbsp Vanilla extract powder

1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon

1/2 Tbsp Nutmeg

Instructions

Blend all ingredients in a Vitamix for 45 seconds and strain through nut milk bag..... ( if you don't have a Vitamix, a regular blender will work but you will need to blend for longer. Until the almonds are super fine. You can also strain this through a tea-towel or loosely woven kitchen towel if you don't have a nut bag)

Enjoy! I like adding this to Chai Tea with a few teaspoons of honey and a little coconut oil.
